Love, Trust, and Obey

The Lord only desires three simple actions from Christians. He wants us to love him, trust him, and obey him. As we try to love, trust, and obey him, our Father will work out the details in our lives.

Think of a person stranded on a hidden island in the ocean. He has all the necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing, and yet something is missing. No one else lives on the island. After a few years, most people would have an intense craving for a friend. He or she would love to reach out and touch someone.

Our Lord Jesus desires our friendship: he reaches out to each of us. Jesus wants us to crave his intimate love even more than the lonely person on the island. Our Father wants to love us, and just let us love him in return. Our Prince of Peace wants to take our hand and lead us through the rocky fields and the sandy beaches of life.

Love trust obey our Lord who gives gifts

Love without Christ seems a lonely place

Our Almighty God seeks our love so he can love us and give us the desires of our hearts. When we put God first, our lives seem to have more meaning and fulfillment. To love, trust, and obey God brings peace, joy, and happiness.
