Our God, Jesus Christ, came to earth and lived like you and I. Except, he was holy and pure without sin. He died on a cross to give us life insurance as a guarantee of eternal life here on earth and in Heaven. We can receive the free gift of eternal life insurance, if we begin to trust him for all things.25 Jesus said to her, "I am
the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if
he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and
believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John
11:25, 26, NASB). Finally, I decided to try God. One day I said, “God, if your real, I want to accept you into my life.” A peace I had never known before settled around me: From that moment on I knew that God was real! Life Insurance for Eternal LifeI took that small step, and the Lord honored it. By God’s grace and his life insurance, I began to change that day. In the years since 1975, the Holy Spirit has worked through the Bible and the Church to renew me. I only worked to help myself before I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. The Lord changed my attitude, my heart, and my desires. Now I only try to do what the Lord wants me to do. The Lord has continued to teach me many things about himself through the last twenty plus years. I know that he loves each one of us more then we can comprehend. I know that the Father always reaches out through his Son Jesus to draw his children closer to himself. I understand his life insurance plan takes care of us, as we trust him. Jesus explained to us that he … was dead, but now he lives, and he will continue living forever. Jesus Christ named himself as the one who died on the cross for our sins. He then rose from death to live forever. He identified himself as the Almighty God when he said … I am the first and the last. Mary at the Empty Tomb On Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb of Jesus, but she found the tomb empty (John 20). She thought, “Jesus is gone!” Despair overwhelmed Mary as she stood weeping at the empty tomb. Mary thought, “It’s terrible that the leaders killed my Lord, but now someone has stolen his body.” Mary remembered how Jesus loved her and forgave her for her past sin (Luke 8:2). She remembered his friendship and his compassion toward her when they traveled from town to town. She remembered the people shouting praises to Jesus the King just a few days before when they had entered Jerusalem (Luke 19:38). Then her world turned upside down. They took her friend; they beat him, they mocked him, they whipped him, and they crucified him. Mary was alone! Mary turned from the tomb and saw Jesus; he said, “Mary.” Suddenly Mary understood: Jesus lives! Mary looked at Jesus: joy filled her from the top of her head to the tip of her toes. She went away from the empty tomb excited and happy. Just as Mary recognized Jesus at the empty tomb, each of us needs to acknowledge the risen Lord. When we understand that Jesus lives today, joy will fill our hearts, too. Jesus told Mary that he was returning to his Father and God, and to our Father and God (John 20:17). Jesus promised us by his life insurance on the cross, that someday we would leave this world. He would then take us by the hand and lead us to our Father and God.
