Creation Story of God
Reveals
His Perfect Love

The Bible gives us a beautiful creation story from the God of the universe. The creation story reveals a work of art and handicraft in this place called earth.

8Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come” (Rev. 4:6b–8, NIV).

Did God Laugh That Day?

Does God have any humor? If you don’t believe that our Lord has a sense of humor, just look at the description of the four living creatures. They look strange! Each one looks different: one like a lion, one like a calf, one like a man’s face, and one like a flying eagle. Perhaps in the creation story, our God changed his thinking that day.

He made them all different. Then the Maker covered them with eyes to help them see. He then gave them each six wings and covered the wings on both sides with many eyes to improve their vision. “Now, honestly,” if someone made a statue similar to the four beasts, you know that some might believe the artist was a little strange.

Yes, our loving Father has joy in the creation story. He paints a beautiful landscape on earth, and then he fills it with thousands of different plants and animals. Some of the plants and animals appear different; we may wonder why? Everything the Lord creates has a unique purpose.

The God of Creation made us in his image. I’m sure he laughs with us in many situations. Some Christians understand God only as serious and judgmental, but my Lord is loving, generous, peaceful, and full of joy.

Creation Story of the Cherubim

God created the living creatures, cherubim in the OT, as his highest order of created angels. When saints saw visions of the Throne, they always saw the cherubim. God has used cherubim to minister to mankind throughout the history of the Bible.

The Creator stationed a cherub at the gate to Garden of Eden. The cherub kept Adam and Eve away from the tree of life after their fall (Gen. 3:24). Skilled craftsmen wove pictures of Cherubim into the veil covering the entrance to the Holy of Holies (Exod. 26:31). Two cherubim spread their wings over the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies (Exod. 25:10).

The living beings always served God around his Throne. When the King of Glory called Isaiah, he saw the same living beings or seraphim that John saw.

1In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory (Isa. 6:1–3, KJV).

John gives us picture of cherubim who have eyes … in front and in back and all around. The highest angels can see all that happens on the earth and in Heaven. In the Bible, cherubim spend most of their time ministering to the Supreme God. Day and night they cry, … “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” This gives us a glimpse of the creation story from God and the future glories that we shall encounter in Heaven.
